In the Netherlands, strict regulations are in place to prevent gambling advertisements from targeting individuals under the age of 24. However, a new study has found that some licensed operators are not adhering to these rules.

The research, which utilized Meta's ad library, uncovered that 7.3% of online gambling ads and 29.8% of offline ads were non-compliant with the law. This raises concerns about the effectiveness of current regulations in protecting young people.

The findings highlight the ongoing challenges in regulating gambling advertising, particularly in ensuring that vulnerable populations are not exposed to potentially harmful content.
